Headache + Sleepy

sigh.... i'm still very sleepy and headache ever since i arrived in Christchurch two days ago. Watsup with me???? HELP!!!!

Back in Christchurch

I'm finally BACK! i'm totally exhausted after spending 2.5 months in Auckland staying in a matchbox size room (shared by TWO person summore!), working in a very very busy city, with majority of the Aucklanders being a bully! omg..can you imagine that? but well, there are obviously some people out there that loves Auckland very much. to me, i'll give Auckland a "5" out of "10" overall because the studying environment there is crappy!!! but the working environment there is pretty cool, coz u get challenges around, and there are major projects around you tat u can gain precious experience.
argh... i really wanna write a loong long blog when i first got home yesterday, but i spent a lot of time unpacking my stuff and help tomato to move into his new "apartment". we even had our dinner at 10.30pm!!!! amazing aye?! some more the internet connection here at my own house is not as FAST as the connection i get in Auckland. i'm not patient enuff to wait for it to connect.... the connection i got in Auckland is 100Mbps, while i get only 46.6Kbps now here. ><
anyway, i'm trying to realign my mood now... wanna change from "work" mode to "study" mode soon. i think i'm headin to bed now. my head is bursting and i feel like kinda lost in the space. i dun even understand what i've writtne above. Sorry abt that. will write a better one soon.
"will upload my auckland photos soon"... pls wait patiently.

ATTENTION!

hey guys!! i'm gonna leave my working diary in the work link shown above. not gonna put another one here in my main page. :)

have a nice day!

An article to share with you...

A French teacher was explaining to her class that in French, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine... "House" is feminine-"la maison." "Pencil" is masculine-"le crayon."
A student asked, "What gender is 'computer'?"

Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups - male and female - and asked them to decide for themselves whether "computer" should be a masculine or a feminine noun.

Each group was asked to give four reasons for their recommendation.

The men's group decided that "computer" should definitely be of the feminine gender ("la computer"), because:

1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;

2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;

3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later review; and

4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your salary on accessories for it.

The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be masculine ("le computer") because

1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on;

2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves;

3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and

4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.

41st day at work (19/01) [8am – 4.30pm]

What have I done today? Early first thing in the morning, I was asked to call up Tee Teo, the consultant who provides the traffic data and detailed information, to get the TMS (Traffic Management System) reference number for one of the sites of the three main motorways in order for me to calculate the annual hourly traffic flow for the Traffic Operations Group. I called twice in total, the first time, his attitude changed from very polite to a bit frustrate. I asked about the TMS site reference number after asking his opinion on whether which site on these three motorways have the best quality data provided in year 2004. I noticed he couldn’t get my message and hence he just simply answered. At the end, I sort of get the three sites he suggested and he gave me approximate location without the TMS reference number. I thought we could get the traffic data by having the name of the location from the TMS site initially. Unfortunately, having consulted Mark, I was asked to make a second call to get the specific site reference number. This time, this consultant was really rude to me. I was supposed to ask for 8 reference site numbers (4 sites x 2 directions) but he ended up letting me know just the reference numbers from two sites and hung up immediately after that. I was stunned by his reaction. I approached Mark after that and Mark called him back and he got everything sorted out finally. I wonder what’s wrong with this guy, or probably what’s wrong with me. Well, it’s sort of an unforgettable experience I had here.

Finally, I spent the rest of the day sorting these data out to do some calculations and settings. The procedures are:

  1. Download the traffic data from the TMS website and rearrange it nicely in a spreadsheet.
  2. Exclude the Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, as they would make the overall results skewed.
  3. Calculate the Annual Average Hourly Traffic (AAHT as invented by Mark himself)
  4. Create another sheet containing just the traffic data and the AAHT
  5. Open up a third sheet to calculate the flow factor (FF) by dividing the traffic count of that hour by the AAHT.
  6. Create another sheet combining both the AAHT and the FF.
  7. Lastly, I had to create a macro so that I could run all the data automatically without creating the spreadsheets from the very beginning.

40th day at work (18/01) [8am – 4.30pm]

I’m sneezing like hell now. My eyes are red due to it. The weather is really crazy. It’s raining out there now for the first time in these two weeks. The sky looks sad and the sun is nowhere to be found this morning. I’m now sitting in the office looking out of my window where I could see a lot of pedestrians running crossing the road, some without looking at the traffic before crossing. That’s really dangerous!
Anyway, after this short entry, I will approach Stephen and show him the job I’ve done so far. Hope I got more stuff ahead for me to do to keep me busy for the rest of the morning as Mark will only return to the office after lunch time. Think he’s having his Odyssey performance testing over in the control room. Gosh… my eyes are closing. It’s really heavy… *dozing off*
Another boring day, I’ve did some changes to the project list, as in finding duplications and updating the ideas and projects lists, after consulting Stephen about the database project. This boring task had been keeping me occupied for almost 2 hours after 3 modifications made. After lunch, I approached Mark, who just arrived at the office, giving him my updated project database. Together with him and Stephen, we discussed about the further step: need to forward it to every project manager and fill up the blanks in the project list. So, I ended up doing a simple form showing all the blanks that need to be filled in for the next hour.
My job was confirmed done at the moment. I was given the next task, which was considerably more interesting, while waiting for the response of all the project managers about the updated project list. This interesting task that I was given is calculation of the hourly flow factor. I was given a tiny “lecture” beforehand about the Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT), both estimated and real values; and the calculations of the flow factor based on the AADT and the traffic count of a day. After talking to consultant in Transfield to get the data for several sites on motorways, I was left alone doing nothing but waiting for the consultant to send me the files. Bored!

39th day at work (17/01) [8am – 4.30pm]

Well, it’s not a bad day. I started off by finishing the ideas, projects and IS Projects database which I was supposed to do last Friday. It kept me busy until afternoon. Just when I was about to hand in my work to Mark and ask for further jobs, he was off for half of a day. Hence, I was wondering around, doing nothing for the rest of the day. I had my lunch slowly, chit chatting around and yeah, did some of my stuff, for example, arranging my timetable for next year and looking for some outside papers to do. Well, hope that I get more stuff to do tomorrow. Time to go home!

38th day at work (14/01) [8am – 4.30pm]

Well oh well… I feel that time really flies today! I attended two meetings and there goes my day! The first meeting really interest me because it was a discussion about the projects undertaken by TMU. All the project managers gathered together and discuss about the current status and issues regarding the projects listed in the database I’ve been doing so far. There was a lot of arguments or probably more appropriately, misunderstandings, happening among the attendees because of the definition of the terms, for example, project manager, IS manager, project sponsor, project owner. These few terms have resulted in a lot of misunderstandings and consequently delaying the meeting. As a result, a lot of matters could not be discussed on the meeting. The second meeting was a meeting between the client and the contractor and the consultants about the CMJ project. As I mentioned a few days ago, I did a couple of drawings indicating the current view of the CCTV in the CMJ and also I relocated the loop detectors on the two junctions. These two drawings were shown to the contractor and further discussion is going to be held sometime next week when my drawings were being examined. I felt really glad as they praised my drawings and taught me more stuff about the CMJ project. I went home at 4pm, as I wanted to pay off my student loan. It is indeed a great but tiring day.

do i look like a civil engineer?

37th day at work (13/01) [8am – 4.30pm]

I’m super tired…my eyes are so heavy, going to close anytime soon. I’m praying that either Mark or Stephen is going to appear soon so that they could give me some work to do to get rid of my sleepiness. Sigh… the weather out there is great today. Great in a sense that the sun is out and the wind is cooling. Nice aye?! Argh!!! I think I need coffee again this morning. It’s surprising to see that I’m drinking coffee nowadays! (I used to not drink any type of coffee… probably influence by someone!) Anyway, I’m going to keep myself busy now, I heard Mark’s voice. Haha!
Well well well… I finished up the road detector loop allocation job introduced by Mark yesterday just before I went home because Leon was not around when I wanted to do it. It is basically quite an easy and straightforward task. After a briefing given by Leon about the allocation and the distances between loops, I redraw the map and put some symbols along the north-south motorway indicating the location of the existing loop detector, the traffic signals, and the new loops that are supposed to be installed in this second stage. I spent most of my time redrawing the map because the complexity of the junction and also to get the most accurate map after comparing so many versions. At last just before lunch, I finished everything.
Now it’s 3.30pm. I’ve been sitting here doing nothing for almost two hours. Luckily I’m still wide-awake. I’m actually waiting for Stephen and Mark to appear in the office because the project and idea databases are due to be finished by tomorrow in preparation for the project meeting held tomorrow. But yet, I still haven’t got the updated copy from either of them. I have this feeling that I would be working over time because of this matter. Sigh…
I’ve did some more update on my practical report at this moment but facing some stupid difficulty in putting the picture of the map I’ve just drawn into the Appendix of my report. It’s so hard to reach the best quality using a few basic drawing programs I had in my computer, and thus I have to forward it back to my own personal email address in order to do a bit of alterations at home. Well, what am I supposed to do now? I would love to open my novel and start reading, but it’s just so wrong. How?!
Anyway, I better leave now.

stubborn

"you r so stubborn!" ...tat's what i hear from my mum since i was a kid. i'm very stubborn, till the extent that i blame my parents for giving me this stubborn "gene" (dunno whether if it does exist). i'm so stubborn that i nvr apologise nor feel bad over what i've done although i know i'm at the wrong side. ppl that has been around me for ages are so used to my behaviour that they dun give a damn.
well, what am i doing here talking about "stubborn"? oh well, i just had a tiny avoidable argument with my boyfriend, as usual. we are a weird couple, that alwez argue over tiny stuff, or probably over nothing, something that we made it up at that instant. both of us are the same "species": stubborn + hot temper = arguing every now and then.
i'm very clear that most of the arguments are avoidable and unnecessary. probably i'm crazy enuff to think that arguments are essential to spice up someone's life?! just for example, now, we just had an argument (like what i've mentioned) and he's off to the gym now (to make himself cool down, exercise really helps one to feel better) and i'm sitting here writing a bloody blog just because i'm so damn bored + i keep losing the "backgammon" game i've been playing for the past 15 minutes. well, back to the argument, i think we started off just because i stared at him when he looked at the direction of two probably half-drunk or insane guys on our way back. well, i'm not trying to "spice up" my life now, but i stared at him because i dun like people around me to mess things up just by looking at those insane ppl or in short, risk their own life.
my intention was good, but i acted too seriously and he was so pissed off. at that instant, i wanted to apologize; unfortunately, the evil + stubborn side of me stopped me to apologize. at last, he walked back home in a very quick pace leaving me behind.
at first, i did not feel a thing about it because i know time will heal all the arguments between us, it alwez does. not until when i was about to reach home, an insane guy rushed towards my direction ignoring the heavy traffic flow on hobson street. i was so freak out until i ran my way into the apartment as no one was around me at that time. i m still very freak out now but too bad, i'm still too stubborn to apologize.
well, i think he's still mad at me for the emotionless look i had on my face when i stepped into the room. sorrie, tat's because i was so freaked out and had a terrible "chasing" game with that insane guy. i miss my home now. bloody auckland mission with so many crazy fellas!

life is fragile...

hmm... just got off friendster. read an entry posted by one of my mates back in msia. well, that's not the point, the point is i've actually read heaps of these similar articles for the past few years, but everytime i tend not to ignore it coz i dun wan any mishaps happening around, especially to my love ones. well, just in case... here is the article. (although i've read similar articles so many times, i'm still cant control my feelin when i read them...)

Chinie is a typical college girl who enjoys life
to the fullest. She loves her boyfriend so much
and texts him every now and then.

JM is Chinie's boyfriend who works in a call
center in Ortigas. He's always busy doing so many
things. He only manage to reply to Chinie's
texts when he got off from work.

One time JM receive a message from Chinie:
"hi baby! how r u? miss u! call me when u come
home k?! tc! lov u!"

JM ignored the message because he always
receive the same message whenever it is time
for him to go home from work.

"baby,i miss u already! did u eat yet?! take
care when u go home! ill be w8ing 4 ur call.
lovu!"

"baby,where r u?! u're not replying to my msg.
well, ill b here w8ing for ur call! lovu!"

JM reaches home and lay on his bed. The last
time he knew is tha he's reading Chinie's text.
He was so tired he fall asleep and wasn't able
to return Chinie's call. He can still hear his phone
beeps but he's too tired to take a glimpse on
the message.

When he woke up the next day, he remember
that he needs to call Chinie. He ignored the
messages and dialed Chinie's #. No one's
answering in her house. He called up her
cellphone and he was surprised that her father
answered the call. In his voice you can feel his
tears and hear his heart tearing apart.

"JM,why'd u call just now? Chinie's been waiting
for u!"

"Dad sorry.i was tired so i fell asleep.
i called at home but noone answered.wher are
u now?."

"just wait for us at home" JM went to Chinie's
house and much to his surprised he saw a lot of
people inside. The house were so lighted but you
can see the gloom on every person you'll meet
there. He was greeted by Chinie's mom on tears.
She hug him tight and cried on his shoulders.

"Chinie was waiting for u. she didnt go out with
us coz she was waiting for ur call. she was
killed las night by some robbers who came in
here. she's gone JM, she's gone"

"Ma,Chinie texted me last night..how could that
have happened?!"

JM can't look who's inside the coffin. He can't
move and it feels like his whole body is stucked
on the chair his seating. He wanted to cry but it
seems that something is blocking his tears to
fall down. He turn to his phone and read the
messages of Chinie.

"baby, ill be w8ing for u to call. i wont go out
with dad anymore!"

"baby, im scared. i think theres som1
downstairs. pls call me already!"

"baby, theyre here. wut f they kill me. pls call me.
baby where r u? i need you here now. please
baby i can hear them come..."

"baby.... i love you!..."
He wanted to shout and cry so loud. It's true
that Chinie is waiting for his call. Up to her last
breath she only thinks about him.

He stare at Chinie inside the coffin. Suddenly
tears starts flowing down his cheeks. He can't
say anything. The only words he uttered...

"My baby, i'm so sorry! I could have known, i
could have fight for you! i'm really sorry! I love you
so much!"

36th day at work (12/01) [8am – 4.30pm]

It’s 4.30pm now. What have I done for the whole day as I only just got the time to write this entry. Hmm… I did some GIS today. Not really mapping work, it’s putting the stuff that I’ve done into a worksheet and tried to make it flows smoothly when I were to scroll up and down the map. I was doing it for the whole morning and had quite a long lunch hour sitting there, chatting happily. As for the management database, I did not do much as I’ve done what I’m supposed to do up to this stage. Stephen spent the whole afternoon chatting with all the relevant people about the projects they are handling or would be handling in the future. Looks like I’ve got more stuff to do tomorrow as I mentioned earlier, I need to get it done by Thursday. It’s Thursday tomorrow, meaning that I would probably be very busy tomorrow. After lunch, did a bit more on GIS. Just trying to put it in the best shape before I proceed to my next job. Financial stuff. I learned another new program, Microsoft Visio. It’s a drawing tool that helps to draw those relation charts perfectly. I spent two hours to draw the chart of the TMU shared cost between Transit New Zealand and the councils. As Leon was no where to be found when I wanted to proceed to another project, the CMJ project, I would have to leave it till tomorrow, another task for tomorrow. This CMJ project was the one I’ve done a few weeks ago, but this time, I am asked to locate the ramp detector loop around the whole area. Quite fun, and complex actually.

35th day at work (11/01) [7.30am – 4.30pm]

What a warm day today! I am so sleepy in fact. Luckily I was occupied with the work I left yesterday. First, I checked through the entries in the project/idea list again before I proceed to the next stage, which is to arrange the space for each of the fields in a A3 size paper so that all entries could fit neatly in it. Then, I ran through the idea report again and trying to adjust the space for each field and correctly tiny errors that was neglected initially as my supervisor was not in yet and I had nothing much to do. Now, I’m sitting here doing nothing waiting for either my manager or my supervisor to appear so that I could do some further modification to both reports and making sure that I won’t need to do a last minute work on this project due to the approaching deadline on Thursday.
Three more weeks to my final day, am I looking forward to it? I don’t know yet. I can’t think of anything but the courses I should be doing this year. I really have no idea what to take if all of us were to take 8 engineering courses this year, unlike past years where 3rd pro students could take 2 outside papers to kind of pull up the GPA. I’ve actually chosen 6 engineering papers and 2 outside papers after consulting my mighty dad, but what to choose for the other 2 engineering papers? Am I going to take Reinforced Concrete like what my dad encouraged me to do? Can I cope with the syllabus? I’m not that confident in this course but I would like to learn more about reinforced concrete. Now I’m really confused. Oh god! Help me…
Also, there’s another important thing that I should be doing right now. it’s to notify my HR officer as well as my supervisor or my manager about the exact date I’m leaving Transit New Zealand. Well, still waiting for either of them to be free. Time to think what I’m supposed to do at the moment. Probably I could correct my own report, shorten it to the 3000-word limit. Haha, a tough and huge task to do!
Well, I’ve told Shona about my leaving date that is on the 28th January. And I have actually changed the three databases for many times, repeating the procedures from step one each time I was asked to do some changes. Now I think I’m just waiting for another discussion about the database I’m doing. Planning to go back at 4pm. Hope that I could go home, can’t wait to go home and go to gym, a bit addicted. Hehe!

tired...

i'm super tired.... but i dunno why i'm so tired. >< what happened? probably i'm getting old. omg! OLD PIG!hehe..
another 3 weeks before i go back to my study life in christchurch. gonna leave Transit New Zealand, gonna leave Auckland, gonna leave my working life... i feel a bit depressed when i told my HR manager that i'm leaving on the 28th. Probably i m just starting to like my working life, starting to appreciate the accompaniment of my colleagues. i have this sort of complex and weird feeling right now. what am i actually thinking?
hmm.. i've just got a confirmation from Mr. Balmain about my application for the Transit Bursary, which is apparently a very great offer. the successful applicant would get a weekly allowance of NZD200 plus a summer job with Transit but have to work for Transit for 12 months after graduation. although it's a very attractive and great offer given to only the summer students, i was not too nervous nor praying hard about getting this offer. i'll leave everything to God. if it's yours, it will be yours no matter what. That's what is in my mind now. ^^
it's 8pm on a tuesday nite. i'm tired and feeling warm in this room. my eyes are closing as i mentioned before due to my tiredness. probably because of my tight schedule everyday, i mean EVERYDAY! i work on weekdays, have to wake up around 7am and go to bed just about midnite. 7 hours of sleep means nothing to me, i need more hours! during weekends, most of the time i've got my cousin's car with me; and hence i need to go out by 8am so that i don't have to pay a single penny on the parking fees. i got home after 6pm for the same reason also... PARKING! normally on saturdays, i am very reluctant to sleep early because i always think that i should spend my time doing stuff that i like on weekends. talking about the stuff i like, haha, i can't think of anything. everything seems the same to me. i don't have a particular interest that i'm madly involved in. ain't this pathetic? as for sundays, i would wake up slightly later, sometimes around 10am, sometimes when i'm really totally exhausted, i'd sleep till late afternoon for my mass. so, my life in auckland is not as monotonious compared to my christchurch life right?!
i've just checked my downloading status.... it's 98.5%. 1.5% to go... can't wait for the download to finish. i'm currently downloading a hk series which i got off the web.... cool stuff that i won't get in christchurch because i'm currently having a hi-speed connection. cool aye! anyway, my eyes are dry now... it's a sign that i should take off my contact lenses before my eyes go red and dry and painful.

34th day at work (10/01) [8am – 4.30pm]

Whew! Just got back from a brief meeting with Stephen and Mark. Looks like I’ve got more stuff to do soon, busy time has finally arrived. (I hope) Well, we discussed about the Projects database that I started doing a “long” time ago. I have to get the whole database completed by Thursday so that I could send out the latest database record to the relevant parties in preparation for the projects meeting this Friday. So, it’s considered an urgent document now. But, I’ve got no idea how to start and how to get it done if I were to depend on myself, luckily, my supervisor is back from his holiday and he’s still chatting with Stephen about his work list this year. I’ll just have to sit here and wait for him to come help me with this. And hopefully I could get it done ASAP without facing too many unnecessary problems. Oh yeah, also, Leon (project manager of the Traffic Operations Group) came by to my room just a while ago and had a chat about the GIS mapping that I’ve been doing recently. He wanted to have a look at the stuff that I’ve completed and I’m pretty scared that he would not be satisfied with my work because I myself is not satisfied with my OWN work. But, it’s hard to make it looks perfect because the globe is round, and the aerial photos are flattened and thus it won’t perfectly match the road odyssey data. The GIS mapping book says so, and my supervisor said so… so, I reckoned I already tried my best and I should not feel bad about it. Unless, someone could make them fit perfectly so that I could seek help from them.
For the rest of the day, I was busy doing my projects and ideas database that was to be completed by Thursday. I had two databases in their initial stage completed ages ago. After a thorough discussion, I was asked to make the report complete by initially making sure that all the projects/ideas given by all owners are included in the idea table as all projects/tasks are in the idea table initially. Then, from that table, it is then divided into projects or tasks according to the duration and the scope of the project/task after funding source was allocated.
I have spent the whole afternoon doing this job, making sure that I did not miss out any single idea/task/project given to me. Went home at 4.15pm to catch a bus to Penrose.

33rd day at work (07/01) [8am – 4.30pm]

After yesterday’s incident, I’ve finished about 7 pieces of aerial photos, I still got half more to go, and I think it will take me until lunchtime to get it done. After that, I would have to do another set of aerial photos, which was supposed to be done by her, but she’s getting bored with it and too lazy to do it. Well, I can’t blame her on that. I’m the youngest in the office and I would always learn something from mistakes or hard work and basically anything given to me. But what the hell, I’m so sleepy. I’m struggling to keep myself awake now. Soon, I’ll start doing my first piece of mapping job for the day. Stephen is early for work today, and he dress up so formally, I assume he would be office the whole day, meaning that I won’t be able to leave earlier today. Sigh… But most importantly, I hope my day would be a perfect one.
Oh well, its not that bad today. I did the mapping stuff for the first half day, and then during lunchtime, Stephen approached me and handed me further stuff on the projects database. And later on, I spent the rest of the day working on the projects database, including updating the fields, and also redoing the report of the database as I’ve screwed up the previous one. Nothing special about today compared with the previous day that I’ve got my whole work deleted by some other people that made me so depressed.

To the Special People in Piggie's Life

Below is a piece of meaningful article dedicated to all the people around me. ^^
To the special people in my life I am sending this to you to see how many of you actually read your emails. Is anyone really out there? Your response will be interesting! Pay close attention to what you read. After you have finished reading it, you will know the reason it was sent to you! Here it goes:

People come into your life for a Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime. When you know which one it is for a person, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a Godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Some times they act up and force you to take a stand.

What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered, and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons: things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life!

32nd day at work (06/01) [8am- 4pm]

I did whole day of mapping yesterday until 3.30pm before going to borders. I never ever spent so much time in bookstores before I came to Auckland. I could say it’s purely influence from my boyfriend, who is so into books and wherever he goes, he would search for a bookstore or more preferably a second hand bookstore, where he could get some cheap deals to set up his own mini library in his home. I hate reading books actually; I seldom spend time or money on books beside textbooks. The only books that I read were some funny little stories revolving family or love life. I still read books like that now, and it’s still my favourite choice, but I read MORE. Isn’t it a good thing?
Whew! Anyway, that’s just something in my head now because I brought a book entitled “falling leaves” by Adeline Yen Mah to office today, so that I could read a bit during break. It’s more comfortable reading under this surrounding due to the appropriate lighting, unlike at home.
Anyway, back to work! My whole department went missing again today. Only my manager came. Think I’ll continue with my GIS mapping that would keep me busy for another whole day. It’s not that bad when you think of doing something useful and in fact it’s one of the MUST learn software so that you could do mapping in the future.
It’s almost 3.30pm now. I was really excited of going back early yesterday around this time. Should I go home early again today? Outside is so warm and humid. I hate the weather, so much like Malaysia weather. Sucks! I hate to walk back home on this kind of weather, but I hate to stay here so long also. Sigh… I have been redoing my GIS mapping work after Grace told me that I’ve done wrongly. As we are both doing the same project, our work has to be compatible to each other. Unfortunately, the mapping directions of both of our work are 180 degrees tilted. So, now here I am, doing my work again after Grace deleted my previous works. I’m feeling real shitty now. I thought everything went cool with this mapping project, I even showed them my initial work and no one pointed out my mistake then. And now they are telling me my mistakes. Argh!!! Anyway, I’m planning to go home at 4pm. Going back home and take a nice long cold shower before heading off for some rest. Hope everything will be cool tomorrow.

31st day at work (05/01) [7.30am - 3.30pm]

It’s so bored today. The whole office is so empty still. Not a lot of people came to work today, probably half of them came; but among this half amount of people, most of them were still in their holiday mood, including me. Argh!!!! I want to go home… I’m thinking of leaving at 3pm by skipping my lunch. Isn’t it good? Hmm… but what to do when I’m back home? How I wish I could go shopping now. I’m looking down at Queen Street; the traffic flow was really great today. Not a lot of people are walking on the street and not a lot of cars passing the street like usual time. Looks like most of the people are still on holiday. I need more time to rest. My colleagues said that I looked very tired. Hmm… I think I’ll stop here. The MapInfo programme screwed up when I was about to finish the first part of the GIS mapping stuff I have been doing whole morning. I would have to re-login to do it again.
